Adani Group will invest ₹ 42,700 crore in Tamil Nadu: Adani Green Energy will invest the maximum of ₹ 24,500 crore.
Adani Group has announced to invest more than Rs 42,700 crore in Tamil Nadu. Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) has been signed regarding investment in Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet 2024.
Adani Green Energy will make the biggest investment among the group companies. Adani Green will invest Rs 24,500 crore in three pumped storage projects in the next 5-7 years. Other than this-
- Adani Connex will invest Rs 13,200 crore in hyperscale data centers in the next 7 years.
- Ambuja Cement will invest Rs 3,500 crore in three cement grinding units.
- Adani Total Gas will invest Rs 1,568 crore in the state in the next 8 years.

Karan Adani described Tamil Nadu as an extraordinary example of Stability, Well Established Industrial Ecosystem, Advanced Infrastructure, Total Connectivity, Safe and Secure Neighbourhood. He said the state has a diverse and highly-skilled workforce, with more women than anywhere else in the country.
Adani Ports has invested Rs 3,733 crore
Adani Ports & SEZ currently operates Kattupalli and Ennore ports and has so far invested Rs 3,733 crore in Tiruvallur district. Adani Green Energy will diversify its presence by investing in PSP plants and hydroelectric energy storage systems, which use gravitational forces to generate electricity.
Company to invest ₹25,000 crore for clear energy project
The company will invest Rs 25,000 crore for the clear energy project, which will create more than 4,400 employment opportunities. The Adani-EdgeConnex data center is a network neutral facility, powered by renewable energy. Its capacity is 33 MW, which will now be increased to 200 MW with an investment of Rs 13,200 crore.
Adani Total Gas aims to increase its investment in Tamil Nadu by 9 times
Adani Total Gas provides piped gas to more than 5,000 households in Cuddalore and Tiruppur districts with 100 km of pipe lines and an investment of Rs 180 crore. The company targets to increase its investment in Tamil Nadu by 9 times to expand its offerings in city gas distribution, liquefied natural gas and electric vehicles.
