₹25000 crore semiconductor packaging plant to be set up in Assam

Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Jal Shakti, Rajiv Chandrashekhar said that a semiconductor packaging plant worth about Rs 25,000 crore will soon be set up in Assam. The Minister of State for IT made this announcement at the Digital India Future Skills Summit here.

Big announcement-

During the summit held at Birinchi Kumar Barua Auditorium of Guwahati University, Minister of State for IT Rajiv Chandrashekhar said, a semiconductor packaging plant will be set up in partnership with the Assam government and the Tata Group. We will soon get all the approvals and submit it to the cabinet for final approval.

Young Indians wanting to enter the world of semiconductors will no longer need to leave their state or move to another city.

The Minister of State for IT credited the leadership of State Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sarma for setting up a semiconductor packaging plant in Assam.

The Union Minister said that there has been a lot of progress in the country’s economy during the last decade and India, which was once among the five worst economies of the world, is today the fifth largest economic power in the world. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is today on the path of progress and there is immense scope of opportunities for the youth in the country, especially in the field of emerging technology, India stands at the forefront with the rest of the world. .

He said, through FutureSkills, we want to tell the youth of the country that due to the policies of our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, many opportunities will be created for them in the coming years.

Students need to empower themselves and equip themselves with skills in areas like AI, cyber security and semiconductors.

The world’s leading companies in these fields include NVIDIA, Intel, AMD, HCL, Wipro and IBM.
