OpenAI: ChatGPT maker company starts recruitment for the first time in India, selects Government Relations Head
OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPIT, has started hiring employees in India. The company has hired its first employee. He has appointed a Government Relations Head. Microsoft investee OpenAI has hired Pragya Mishra to lead public policy affairs and partnerships in India. According to a Bloomberg report, a person with knowledge of the matter, on condition of anonymity, said that the company has finalized the appointment of Pragya Mishra.
According to the report, 39-year-old Mishra has previously worked at Truecaller AB and Meta Platforms (Facebook). Now she will make a new start with OpenAI at the end of this month. There is currently no comment from ChatGPT maker OpenAI and its representatives on the news of hiring in India. Pragya Mishra has also not yet responded to a message sent on LinkedIn regarding this.
Mishra was earlier working as the head of public affairs department at Stockholm-based contact verification firm Truecaller. The firm considers India as a top market. Prior to this, she was at Meta Platforms, where she led a campaign on behalf of WhatsApp against misinformation in 2018.
