From Ayodhya to Banaras…this is how the landscape of hotel-tourism sector is changing, 2 lakh jobs will be available
Ever since the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple was built in Ayodhya, there has not been any decrease in the number of pilgrims. Earlier, Mahakal Lok in Ujjain and Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in Banaras have rejuvenated the tourism and hotel industry in these cities. During Covid, this sector had to face the most difficult times, which is now gradually improving.
The effect of the Covid-era recession is disappearing in the hotel and tourism sector. At a time when there were terrible layoffs in this sector, now it is becoming a machine for generating employment. There is a possibility of creation of up to 2 lakh jobs in this sector in the coming 12 to 18 months.
Hotels are expanding
Recently, Ayodhya has emerged as the biggest new tourism hub of Uttar Pradesh. Therefore many hotels have expanded here. From ITC to Lemon Tree and Tata Group’s Taj Hotel are investing here. In such a situation, there is every possibility of increase in hotel operations jobs here. This is the condition not only of Ayodhya but of different pockets of the country.
This includes the Chardham Yatra from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh to Uttarakhand. Travel to all these places has increased in the last few years. Because of this, jobs are increasing in the hotel and tourism sector.
2 lakh jobs will be created
A report by staffing service company TeamLease Services has estimated that more than 2 lakh jobs will be generated in the hotel, restaurant and tourism sectors in the next 12 to 18 months. In this too, about 1 lakh jobs will be created only in the hotel industry.
