Gaurav Banerjee: Gaurav Banerjee becomes MD and CEO of Sony Picture Networks India, replacing NP Singh.
Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has appointed Gaurav Banerjee, former content head of Disney Plus Hotstar, as its new managing director and CEO. Recently NP Singh had announced that he is resigning after holding several important positions in Sony’s Indian division for 25 years. Now Gaurav is going to take his place.

According to media reports, Gaurav may be appointed to this post on August 26 or even before. Talking about this, he said, “I am extremely honored to take up the role of MD and CEO of SPNI. Has been the content head of Disney Plus Hotstar
Gaurav is one of India’s most experienced content executives. Recently he was appointed Content Head for Disney Plus Hotstar and Business Head of Star Bharat Hindi & English Movies, Kids & Infotainment and Regional (East). During this time, he oversaw content in multiple languages and also led original series and films. Amidst the news of the merger between Disney and JioCinema’s parent company Reliance Industries, there was talk of Gaurav’s exit from Disney Plus Hotstar.
