The American ambassador was thrilled to see this world’s largest project of Adani Group, it is as big as Mumbai.

US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti visited Adani Group’s Khavra Renewable Energy Project. It is the largest renewable energy project in the world. This is an indication that the group has moved beyond Hindenburg’s allegations and is receiving full support. Garcetti wrote on social media platform ‘X’ after visiting Khavra on July 16, “I was inspired after seeing the Khavra Renewable Energy Project in Gujarat. I learned about and witnessed Adani Green’s unique projects that advance India’s net zero carbon emissions goals. Green energy is important for environment friendly development. “And our bilateral partnership is vital to shaping solutions for a cleaner and greener future for the region and the world.”

Project 5 times bigger than Paris and as big as Mumbai City

Adani Green Energy Ltd. The world’s largest renewable energy project of 30,000 MW capacity is being developed on barren land in Khavra, Kutch, Gujarat. Built over 538 square kilometres, it is a project five times the size of Paris and almost as big as Mumbai city. The company has commissioned 2,000 MW capacity within 12 months of commencement of operations. The entire project of 30,000 MW capacity is expected to be completed by 2030.

Gautam Adani tweeted

Group Chairman Gautam Adani posted a photo with Garcetti on ‘X’ and thanked him for the visit. He wrote, “I am grateful to the US Ambassador to India for visiting Adani’s 30 GW (one gigawatt equals 1,000 MW) renewable energy project site in Khavra and Mundra Port.” The move to go ahead and make it public is being seen as a sign of the US government’s confidence in India’s largest infrastructure group.

America’s Hindenburg had made allegations

Garcetti’s visit is important almost a year and a half after American investment and research company Hindenburg Research accused Adani Group of fraud and manipulation of shares of companies. Adani has rejected all the allegations of Hindenburg and called them completely baseless. The group companies have now come out of the losses caused by the Hindenburg report.
