HCLTech’s new policy- Now employees will have to come to office three days a week.
India’s third largest software exporter company HCLTech is bringing a new policy, under which its employees will now have to come to office and work three days a week. Failure to do so will be considered absent. In fact, since the time of Corona, many companies had started the culture of work from home, after which employees used to work from home. Employees of tech companies got the maximum benefit from this. Employees of tech companies still work from home.
According to Moneycontrol, under the new policy of HCLTech, the employee will have to come to work in the office three days a week and at least 12 days a month. If they do not do so, their leave will be deducted on a daily basis. This change has happened five months after the company changed to hybrid work model.
Salary may be cut
According to the report, HR has started informing some teams about this update through email from this week and it is already effective. Meanwhile, after the holidays are over, this may lead to a cut in salary. As of today, HCLTech employees who have been with the company for less than three years can take 18 annual leaves and one personal leave. Employees who work with the company for more than three years get about 20 annual leaves and two personal leaves.
Responding to Moneycontrol’s queries, an HCLTech spokesperson said, “We have a flexible hybrid work policy, where people in mid and senior level management work from the office 3 days a week. All other employees are free to meet client commitments. We follow the necessary working arrangements and planning is done by the managers associated with it.”
