MoU signed between Suzuki Motors and Banas Dairy, 5 bio CNG plants will be set up in Banaskantha in the next 1 year

Suzuki Motors will set up 5 bio CNG plants in the next one year in Banaskantha in Gujarat in collaboration with Banas Dairy. Suzuki Motors liked Banaskantha because Banas Dairy has done successful experiments in the field of BIO-CNG for the last 5 years, which have become a benchmark. Suzuki Motor Corporation Chief Executive Officer Toshihiro Suzuki has unveiled the ‘Bhoomi Amrit’ brand logo at a farmers’ conference held in Banaskantha. Also launched nutrient rich liquid organic fertilizer ‘Power Plus’ produced by Banas Biogas Plant.

MoU signed

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed on the occasion between Suzuki Research and Development in India (SRDI), scientists from Toyohashi University and Banas Dairy. The objective of this collaboration is to set up five biogas plants in the Tharad region of North Gujarat. The objective of these plants is to promote rural mobility and employment generation. For this, five Maruti Suzuki Eeco minivans will be given on lease to each two villages. These eco minivans will run on biogas CNG, which symbolizes the concept of green and clean energy. Biogas CNG will be supplied through biogas filling stations to be established in the area. While organic fertilizer will be produced by biogas plants owned by Banas Dairy.

Govardhan Project

Banas Dairy Chairman Shankarbhai Chaudhary expressed his gratitude for the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this occasion. He highlighted the efforts of Banas Dairy under the Govardhan Project, which aims to provide clean fuel and organic fertilizers. Chaudhary also informed that based on the success of this pilot project, additional biogas plants will be set up across Banaskantha district.
