Air India Express announced to start 6 new daily flights on domestic routes, these cities got connected
Tata Group-owned airline Air India Express has announced the launch of six new daily flights including Chennai and Kolkata to strengthen its domestic network. According to PTI news, while three new flights have been started from Chennai in domestic flights, two have been started from Kolkata and one service has been started on the Guwahati-Jaipur route. The new flight services have started from August 12.
Services started on these routes
According to the news, the airline said on Tuesday that the new flights operate on Chennai-Bhubaneswar, Chennai-Bagdogra, Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata-Varanasi, Kolkata-Guwahati and Guwahati-Jaipur sectors. Part of the Tata Group, Air India Express operates over 380 daily flights with a fleet of 82 aircraft including 54 Boeing 737s and 28 Airbus A320s. Earlier, Air India Express has also announced the launch of a direct daily flight connecting Hyderabad and Srinagar from October 1, 2024.
Direct flights to Sharjah
Apart from domestic flights, Air India Express has also announced new international flights. The airline is starting direct flights connecting Indore and Sharjah 4 times a week. You can book this flight on the airline’s website or mobile app.
The airline connects the Tamil Nadu capital directly to 10 destinations – Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram, as well as internationally to Dammam, Kuwait and Singapore. It also offers one-stop connectivity to 24 destinations, both domestic and international. On August 10, IndiGo also launched a daily flight from Mangaluru International Airport to Abu Dhabi, making it the airline’s second foreign destination after Dubai.
