Demand for sports goods has increased in the country

In today’s time, the demand for sports goods and awareness towards fitness is at its peak in the country. Shoes have the highest share of about 60% in the sports goods market. After this, 30% of the sales are of clothes. The rest of the sales are of accessories. This new step of Sachin further strengthens the growing trend in which celebrities are starting their own businesses. Some of these have already been sold for a huge amount. In India, cricketer Virat Kohli is a shareholder in Universal Sportsbiz Private Limited (USPL), which runs the Rogan brand. Kohli has also launched a product range called ‘One8’ in collaboration with Puma. Other celebrities like MS Dhoni and Deepika Padukone have also invested in startups.
