Sweden’s well-known furniture company Ikea is soon going to start same-day delivery facility in Hyderabad. Ikea is planning to launch such same-day delivery facility in all its markets by next year.

100% deliveries are being done by EV in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune.

According to an official statement issued by Ikea India, in line with its commitment towards sustainable value chain, it has achieved 100 per cent deliveries through EV-operated vehicles in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune. The company plans to achieve the same target in its Mumbai operations also. Ikea hopes to achieve carbon-free targets in Mumbai too in the coming few months.

According to the company’s statement, Ikea is now working hard on entering new markets with this approach. The company’s new market includes the country’s capital Delhi and its surrounding cities like Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad. Currently the company is operating a total of five stores across India.

Currently, Ikea has one store each in Hyderabad, Navi Mumbai and Bengaluru, while the company has two stores in Mumbai.
