Apraava Energy gets big order from NTPC, 300 MW solar project to be set up in Rajasthan, know details
Integrated energy solutions provider Apraava Energy has won a 300 MW solar project from public sector power company NTPC. The company said in the statement that this project will be established in Rajasthan in a stipulated period of 24 months. This has been achieved through e-reverse auction system at the rate of Rs 2.65 per kilowatt hour. According to the statement, Aprava Energy has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited for a 300 megawatt (MW) solar power project connected to the interstate transmission system (ISTS).
There are 3 wind projects in Rajasthan
This project further strengthens Aprava’s presence in Rajasthan. Its first 250 MW new solar project was announced through NHPC in January, 2024. Apart from these two solar assets, Aprava also already has three wind projects in Rajasthan, with a combined capacity of 253.6 MW, as well as three under-construction transmission projects. “We are excited to add our largest solar project to date to our growing renewable energy (RE) segment,” Rajeev Ranjan Mishra, managing director of Aprava Energy, said in the statement.
PPA for 25 years
This bid is part of the solar tender issued by NTPC to set up 1,500 MW ISTS-connected solar PV power projects anywhere in India. The PPA between NTPC and Aprava Energy is for a period of 25 years from the scheduled date of supply. Under the agreement, Aprava Energy will be responsible for the construction, ownership and operation of the project for the term of the PPA.
