The giant American software technology company Nvidia and Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries have joined hands to build AI infrastructure in India. Let us tell you that Nvidia is organizing the summit in India for the first time.
India will soon export AI solutions
Jensen Huang said on Thursday that India, a favourite of the world’s computer industry, will see a 20-fold increase in computing capacity in 2024 and will soon export impressive AI solutions. Huang emphasised Nvidia’s commitment to expanding its ecosystem in India. “India is a favourite of the world’s computer industry, is the centre of the IT industry and is at the centre of IT for almost every company in the world,” he said.
The country is moving towards becoming a powerhouse in AI development and distribution
Huang said that India, traditionally a hub of software exports, is set to become a leader in AI exports in the future. Huang emphasised that the country is now moving from being a ‘back office’ for software production to a ‘powerhouse’ in AI development and distribution. He said, “In the long term, I hope we all have our own AI ‘co-pilots’.”
How much of a threat is AI to jobs?
On the concerns about job loss due to AI, Huang stressed that AI will not completely eliminate jobs, but it will bring fundamental changes in the way work is done. He said, “AI will not take away jobs in any way, but the person who uses AI to do a job better will take away the job.”
