Krafton, the maker of popular mobile games like PUBG and BGMI, has launched a new runner mobile game ‘CookieRun India’ for Indian gamers. The company claims that there have been more than 10 lakh pre-registrations for this game and it will be available for Android and iOS users from 11 December 2024. That is, users will be able to download this game from that day.
The company has said that CookieRun India has been specially designed keeping Indians in mind. It will provide a local and culturally rich experience along with the globally popular ‘Cookie Run’ series. The game has some unique elements including the cookie character inspired by popular Indian sweets like Gulab-Jamun and Kaju-Katli. Along with this, there will also be local in-game events, which will make the gamers’ experience great.
Regarding this, Krafton’s Head of Publishing Meenu Lee said that she has developed this game with Devsisters. We are thrilled to develop ‘Cookie Run India’. The response it has received so far has also encouraged us. Indian elements have been beautifully incorporated in this game. It has been specially designed keeping in mind Indian gamers, which will give them a new experience with their favorite series.
The company says that it is aiming to launch 3 to 4 new games next year. Talking about the figures, Krafton India’s BGMI has been downloaded more than 20 crore times. In 2025, Krafton India plans to launch 3-4 new titles. This will strengthen the company’s mission to give Indian gamers a diverse and immersive gaming experience. The company says that it will invest more than $ 140 million in Indian startups in the coming years.
