BSNL News: Government telecom company will provide new service to crores of people

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is moving fast with its 4G services. The company is making significant progress towards expansion. The company has installed about 12,000 4G towers across the country and has started 4G services in all four metros—Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai—including most state capitals by December 2024. But officially BSNL’s 4G service will be available in all circles by June.

BSNL aims to provide 4G services across the country by early 2025, for which the company is rapidly expanding its network.

Apart from this, BSNL is also working on a plan to launch 5G services in early 2025.

BSNL has launched these 5 services in October-November December 2024- In October 2024, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched seven new services along with its new logo.

(1) Spam-free network-This service automatically filters spam messages and potentially fraudulent calls, giving users a safe network experience. This service for BSNL fiber internet customers provides high-speed internet access on BSNL hotspots at no additional charge, thereby reducing data costs.

(2) Fiber-based TV service (IFTV)- This service gives access to over 500 live TV channels, which is available to all fiber internet customers at no additional charge.

(3) Any Time SIM (ATS) Kiosks-These kiosks allow users to purchase, upgrade, or switch SIM cards 24/7, making SIM management simple and convenient.

(4) 5G Connectivity for Mining- BSNL has tied up with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) to launch low 5G connectivity for mining operations, which helps to increase the safety and efficiency of mines using indigenous technology.

(5) Public Protection and Disaster Relief Network-This network provides guaranteed encrypted telecom service in emergency situations. Which includes drone and balloon-based solutions to expand coverage.
