India’s attack on China- More than 100 Chinese apps will be banned in India

Many other countries of the world including India have once again expressed serious concern about Chinese apps. Meanwhile, the Indian government does not seem to be giving any relaxation on this issue.

The central government has recently ordered the blocking of about 119 Chinese apps. The country has already blocked many popular Chinese apps including TikTok and ShareIt (2020). According to the latest order issued by the ministry, more platforms are likely to be included in this

Which apps are in danger?

According to the report, the government has mostly targeted video and voice chat apps from China and Hong Kong, which may number around 119. Interestingly, only 15 of these 119 apps have been blocked in the country so far. More than 100 of these apps are easily available for download on the Play Store.

The developers affected by these orders have said that they still do not know whether their name is in this list or not. Meanwhile, they are still trying to find out why the Indian government is seeing their platform as a risk.

The government has taken big steps earlier too

This is not the first time that Chinese apps have been blocked in the country. TikTok has perhaps suffered the biggest losses during the ongoing tension between China and India. The government has often cited IT rules along with national security to block these apps in the country and it seems that this trend is not going to end soon.

Google is forced to take action on legal requests. This is why these apps are blocked almost immediately and people are prevented from installing these apps on their devices.
