Apple got the green signal to sell iPhones after agreeing to the conditions of this country

American devices maker Apple has been allowed to sell iPhone 16 after accepting Indonesia’s investment conditions. The company has promised to invest one billion dollars in Indonesia. This investment can be made in setting up a manufacturing plant.

According to a Bloomberg report, the agreement between the Indonesian government and Apple may be signed this week. Sources with knowledge of this said that a press conference will also be held regarding this. Apple may soon be issued a permit to sell iPhone 16. In October last year, the company was denied a permit to sell iPhone 16 in Indonesia. The reason for this was failure to meet the conditions for local manufacturing of smartphones and tablets.

Apple then offered to invest one billion dollars. Along with this, training will also be given in Indonesia regarding research and development of the company’s products. However, sources have said that Apple does not plan to manufacture iPhones in this country soon. The assembly of Apple’s recently launched affordable iPhone 16e has started in India. The iPhone 16e being assembled in India will be exported to some countries along with sales in India. Earlier, the company’s iPhone 16 series is also being assembled in the country. Apple started manufacturing iPhone Pro models in the country for the first time with the iPhone 16 series. Earlier, the company’s Pro models were assembled in China. Taiwan’s Foxconn is the largest contract manufacturer for the company. Foxconn has manufacturing plants in India and China. Some other contract manufacturing companies also assemble iPhones and other devices of the company in the country. India’s Tata Electronics is also included in these. The iPhone 16e has support for OLED display and Apple Intelligence features. A major upgrade has been made in the form of the company’s new proprietary C1 modem.
