Xiaomi India has partnered with Indian Android app marketplace Indus Appstore. Under this deal, Indus Appstore will now be preinstalled in all new Xiaomi smartphones launched in the country. Also, GetApps available in Xiaomi’s existing devices will also be replaced by Indus Appstore. The aim of this partnership is to give Indian users better options for local app discovery and accessibility.

Indus Appstore is an Android-based app store designed keeping Indian users in mind. It supports 12 Indian languages ​​and provides app listing, distribution and promotion facilities to developers. Also, 24×7 customer support is also available in it. The press release states that users will get a video-based app discovery system on Indus Appstore, which will allow them to preview the app before downloading it. Also, it supports voice search in 10 Indian languages. More than 5 lakh apps and games are available on this platform, divided into 45 different categories.
