Coca-Cola will install the world’s first hydrogen vending machine, it will run anywhere without electricity connection
Coca-Cola is going to introduce the world’s first hydrogen-powered vending machine. The company will present this machine to the world at the World Expo 2025. World Expo 2025 is going to be held in Osaka, Japan next month. Coca-Cola will be the first company in the world to use this technology. The company has developed this technology in collaboration with Japan’s electrical equipment manufacturing company Fuji Electric. Coca-Cola aims to make carbon dioxide emissions completely neutral by 2050, under which the company has taken this step.
There will be no power outlet in Coca-Cola’s hydrogen-powered vending machine. This machine will depend only on hydrogen cartridges which can be replaced when needed. These hydrogen cartridges will fit into the machine, after which the machine will generate electricity by reacting with the oxygen present in the atmosphere. The company claims that such a machine can be run in any environment.
Actually, there will be an electricity generator installed inside the machine. These hydrogen cartridges will be installed in this generator. Under a chemical reaction, hydrogen and oxygen will combine to generate electricity. This electricity will be stored in a battery. The battery will then send the electricity to the machine and the machine will be able to do its work. The company says that it is preparing to install 58 such machines in World Expo 2025.
However, the company has not yet clarified how long this machine will be able to work once the hydrogen cartridge is installed. The company has also not denied that providing hydrogen cartridges for the machines all the time will not be a very easy task, and the same kind of infrastructure will also be required for this. Cost can also play an important role in this.
There is also a discussion on social media about this move of Coca-Cola. Users have given different opinions about this move of the company. Some users have praised the company’s move because they believe that this is an environmentally friendly step taken by the company.
At the same time, some users have also raised questions on this. One user wrote that hydrogen-powered machines are only methane-powered generators that produce greenhouse gases, which will take some extra steps in gas emissions. Another user wrote that have they forgotten the mechanical vending machines that they had once made and used? Many similar reactions are being seen on social media.
