Ola Electric started hyper delivery, customers will get electric scooter in a few hours
Ola Electric, one of the big electric two-wheeler companies, has announced the launch of hyper delivery for its vehicles. In this, customers will be delivered electric scooters online or at the company’s store within a few hours of purchasing them along with the registration of the vehicle. Recently the company had formed a team to handle the process of registration of its vehicles.
Ola Electric told the stock exchange in a filing that the company has decided to handle the process of its vehicle registration itself along with using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for automation. This has made the process of purchase and delivery of the company’s vehicles very easy. Ola Electric has started the trial of hyper delivery in Bengaluru and will soon be expanded across the country.
Recently the company had informed that its unit Ola Electric Technologies has mutually settled the matter of outstanding amount with its former vehicle registration service provider Rosmerta. Rosmerta had filed a petition to initiate insolvency proceedings against Ola Electric Technologies regarding this outstanding amount. Ola Electric had said that Ola Electric Technologies has settled the matter of outstanding amount with Rosmerta by mutual consent. Rosmerta has filed a memo to withdraw the insolvency petition from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Bangalore. Ola Electric said that it is committed to maintaining strong business relations and timely resolution of any business disputes.
Ola Electric’s sales have declined by 56 percent in March. Last month, Ola Electric sold around 23,430 units. This is a 56 percent decline in sales on a year-on-year basis. Ola Electric has been facing difficulties for the last several months. The government has sought information from Ola Electric after the company’s vehicle sales and registration figures did not match in February. The company had said that its sales in February were around 25,000 vehicles. However, only about 8,600 registrations of the company’s vehicles were visible on a government portal. Ola Electric had said that this is a matter of temporary pending registration of vehicles.
