Tata Power Share: Subsidiary gets order worth ₹4500 crore from NTPC
Tata Power Company Limited on Monday (April 14) said that its subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited to develop a 200 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy project.
Tata Power Company said in an exchange filing, “We wish to inform you that Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of the company, signs a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited to set up a 200 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy project.”
Project cost around ₹4500 crore
The project costs around Rs 4,500 crore and is expected to be completed within 24 months. The project will include provisions for assured power supply in line with NTPC’s scheduling requirements, making it a flexible and reliable source of renewable energy.
Last week, Tata Power said it has received approval from the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) to set up a 100 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project. The project will be set up at 10 strategically located sites in Mumbai over the next two years, Tata Power said in an exchange filing.
