ChatGPT maker OpenAI will bring its own social media platform, will compete with X and Instagram!

ChatGPT maker OpenAI is considering creating its own social media network. The company can launch this platform to compete with Elon Musk’s social media platform X, and Meta’s Instagram. However, this project is said to be in a very early stage.

OpenAI is preparing to bring its own social media platform which will compete with platforms already present in the market like X and Instagram. This was first revealed in a report by The Verge. The news outlet quoted persons related to the matter as saying that the plan is still in a very early stage.

Sources say that this social media network will be based on OpenAI’s image-generation feature which the company launched in March. This fueled the issue of copyright as everyone started creating Studio Ghibli-esque images which were possible using just a simple prompt and a photo. The company’s CEO, Sam Altman, also changed his picture to X to resemble the Ghibli character.

Social media companies are rolling out their own basic AI models. These include Elon Musk’s xAI and Meta’s AI model. These models can use user data and this data can be used to train AI models in real time. If OpenAI’s social media network also comes to market, then it will also get full benefit of user data.

According to The Verge’s report, Altman is reportedly seeking private feedback from outsiders about the social network. It is also being said that an internal prototype is also being prepared for this. The news outlet also said that it is not yet known whether the network will be a separate app or will be integrated with the ChatGPT app. There is also a legal battle going on between Altman and Musk at this time.
