Two big companies come together for 5G, Airtel and Tech Mahindra will create Innovation Lab together
Airtel and Tech Mahindra join hands: In partnership with telecom sector giant Bharti Airtel and IT sector giant Tech Mahindra, the use of 5G will accelerate. Airtel is testing 5G in India while Tech Mahindra has developed 5G applications and platforms. Now both the giants of their respective sectors will work together to promote the use of 5G. Together, the two companies will prepare a 5G innovation lab.
Make in India will get a boost
Airtel and Tech Mahindra have entered into a strategic partnership under which the use of 5G will be increased for India and global markets and for this a joint 5G innovation lab will be set up which will also boost the ‘Make in India campaign’. Under this partnership, both companies will together provide digital solutions for 5G, cloud and private networks. Both the companies will create an enterprise-grade private network according to the market, which will serve as the core of the digital economy.
Focus will be on these sectors first
The partnership will combine Airtel’s 5G ready mobile network, its Internet connectivity portfolio of fiber and Internet of Things (IoT) and Tech Mahindra’s system integration capabilities. The main focus of the companies will first be on Automobiles, Aviation, Ports, Utilities, Chemicals, Oil and Gas Sectors. Airtel and Tech Mahindra will also offer cloud and content delivery networks (CDNs) to businesses.
Today’s share price
Today (March 31) there is a slight decline in the shares of Airtel and it had slipped to the price of 739.60 intra-day but it has recovered again and is currently at a price of Rs 748.90. On the other hand, talking about Tech Mahindra, it is also trading with a slight decline at a price of Rs 1491.80. Due to selling on the weekly F&O expiry day, their prices are showing weakness.
