Kinder Joy deadly for children?: Company recalls its batch in UK, claims to have found salmonella bacteria
A close link has been uncovered between children’s favorite Kinder Surprise chocolate egg and the salmonella epidemic, and experts say its consumption is making children sick. Regarding this, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) in Britain has issued a warning to people not to buy or eat some Kinder Surprise eggs. Following this, chocolate maker Ferrero has recalled batches of these products.
An association was discovered between the Ferrero manufactured product and the recorded incidence of salmonella infection across the UK by the UK Health Protection Agency (UKHSA) and other public health organisations. The agency then advised consumers not to consume Kinder Surprise products with an expiry date between July 11, 2022 and October 7, 2022, just ahead of Easter.
According to the report, 20 grams of Chocolate Egg products have been sold separately in three batches. However, all those affected Kinder Surprise products were produced in the same factory as the other Kinder Food products. However, in the investigation, except Kinder Surprise, all others have been confirmed to be safe. Furthermore, in a prompt note, Kinder owner Ferrero has taken the cautious step of removing the popular product with immediate effect.
