Infosys-Paytm: Vijay Shekhar Sharma reappointed as CEO of Paytm
One97 Communications Limited (OCL), owner of Paytm brand, India’s leading mobile payments and financial services company, on Saturday re-appointed Vijay Shekhar Sharma as the CEO of Paytm for a period of five years. On the other hand, India’s second largest software firm Infosys has once again appointed Salil Parekh as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.

Significantly, Vijay Shekhar Sharma has once again been appointed as the CEO of Paytm for 5 years. Vijay Shekhar Sharma will serve as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for five years from 19 December 2022 to 18 December 2027.
In its exchange filing, OCL said it has re-appointed Vijay Shekhar Sharma as its managing director for a period of five years. Fintech company Paytm gave this information in a stock exchange filing on Saturday.

The company statement further said that Vijay Shekhar Sharma is an Indian technology entrepreneur. He has been instrumental in revolutionizing the digital payments and financial services landscape in India as Chairman and Managing Director and CEO of One97 Communications Limited and its consumer brand Paytm. Under his guidance Paytm is on a mission to bring 50 crore Indians into the mainstream of the economy.
Salil Parekh re-elected as CEO and MD of Infosys
India’s second largest IT services company Infosys Limited on Sunday informed that it has re-appointed Salil Parekh as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company from July 1, 2022 to July 31, 2027. The decision was taken in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the company held on May 21, 2022. The Board of Directors took this decision based on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC) of the company.
