Honor : Smartphones of this Chinese company will no longer be available in India, the company has closed business in the country.
New Delhi, Tech Desk. The news of Chinese company Honor leaving the Indian market was coming for a long time. But now Honor CEO Zhao Ming has reportedly announced in a recent interview that the company has officially pulled itself out of the Indian market. Ming said that after working for years in India, the Honor team has withdrawn its name from the Indian market.
Last tweet on Holi
The last tweet from the official Twitter handle of Honor India was in March 2021 on the festival of Holi. Ming has reportedly assured customers that Honor is aiming to deliver on its promises despite the falling market. Along with smartphones, the company has launched smartwatches, notebooks and more in the country in the last few months.
Honor’s last launch
Although Honor did the last launch in India in June 2022 only on Honor Watch GS 3. This smartwatch has a 1.43 inch AMOLED screen. According to the company, it can give 14 days of battery life on a single charge. Its Midnight Black variant costs Rs 12,990, while the Blue and Classic Gold shades are priced at Rs 14,990.
Honor X8 5G announced
All this Huawei brand Honor has announced the Honor X8 5G globally. It will have Snapdragon 480+ processor. It will get 6 GB of RAM. This smartphone will have a 6.5-inch HD + display. This phone will get a triple rear camera setup of 48 MP. So there will also be an 8 MP selfie camera. Since the company has closed its business in India, so this phone will not be launched in the country.
Honor will not make a car
Apart from this, Ming also clarified during the interview that the company has no plans to make cars in the next few years.
