Meta, Jio join hands to launch JioMart on WhatsApp.

New Delhi, Aug 29 (PTI) Technology company Meta and Jio Platforms have joined hands to launch JioMart on messaging platform WhatsApp. With this partnership, customers of Reliance Retail will be able to order groceries on WhatsApp.

According to a joint statement issued in this regard, JioMart on WhatsApp will connect online shoppers to JioMart’s grocery list. Customers can buy goods from this list by paying for putting the items in the ‘Cart’.

At the 45th AGM (AGM) meeting of Reliance Industries, Isha Ambani made a presentation on online grocery ordering and payment using WhatsApp.

Mark Zuckerberg, Founder and CEO, Meta, said in a Facebook post, “Excited to begin our partnership with JioMart in India. This is our first ‘end-to-end shopping’ experience on WhatsApp. With this people can now order groceries directly from Jiomart in the chat.

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director, Reliance Industries said, “Our vision is to advance India as the world’s leading digital society.”
