Organizational changes will happen in Maruti Suzuki in coming times: RC Bhargava.

New Delhi, Aug 31 (PTI) Maruti Suzuki India Chairman RC Bhargava on Wednesday hinted at further organizational changes in the backdrop of the company’s growing contribution to the entire global business of parent company Suzuki Motor Corporation.

Addressing the company’s direct Annual General Meeting (AGM) after two years due to disruptions caused by the Kovid-19 pandemic, Bhargava said that Maruti Suzuki India’s contribution to Suzuki’s global production in the future was achieved last year. will exceed 60 percent.

He also said that the company will formulate its strategy to enter the bio-methane gas fuel sector. The suggestion was made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the company’s four-decade celebrations in Gandhinagar on Sunday (August 28).

Bhargava said that Maruti has clearly become a very important part of Suzuki Japan.

He quoted Suzuki Motor Corporation Chairman Toshihiro Suzuki’s statement that in the last fiscal year 2021-22, Suzuki Group produced around 28 lakh vehicles worldwide, of which more than 1.6 million units or about 60 per cent. The production was done in India.

Simultaneously, he also announced Suzuki’s setting up of a wholly owned R&D company in India.

He further said that we hope to get more support from you when we make any changes in future. However, he did not specify what the changes would be.

The company on Sunday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to set up two biogas plants in Gujarat.
