According to the new IT rule, in the information shared, Google said that the company has removed about 7 lakh vulgar content from its platform. Also, Google has received the highest number of complaints at 37,173 in July, which is 13.6 percent more than the number of complaints received in June 2022. Google has received the highest number of user complaints so far in July. As per the IT Rules 2021, large technology companies and social media companies with a user base of more than 5 million or more than 5 million are required to publish compliance reports every month. In July, Google has received the most complaints and the company has also removed the most vulgar content from the platform this month.

7 lakh lewd content deleted

Google said in its compliance report that the company has removed 6,89,457 dirty content from the platform based on user complaints. In June, the company removed 5,51,800 dirty content from the platform. In July, the company has taken action on 7.6 percent more content than in June.

Google received the highest number of copyright infringement complaints from Indian users. The tech company has received 35,341 complaints from Indian users in July. At the same time, other categories include complaints of trademark infringement, court orders, graphic sexual content, etc. Google’s design mechanism has received 37,173 complaints related to third party content, filed by individual users. Google said in its statement that many complaints were related to intellectual property rights.

Automatic detection of harmful content

Google said that in addition to user-reported content, we are using a variety of technologies to detect harmful content, which automatically detects and removes content from the platform. Of these, we are using this type of technology especially for child sexually abusive content.
