Sundar Pichai also recalled his struggles on this special occasion. He told that I have overcome all the difficulties to reach the place where I am today. He told that when he decided to come to America for studies, it was not easy. At that time, I had to buy the ticket here by paying my father’s one year’s salary.

In an interview, Sundar Pichai had said that even though he is the head of the world’s biggest tech company today, he is still connected to the land. He never forgets his old days, his struggle and his childhood. This gives them the energy to move forward. He had also told that when he came to America, the charge for ISD calls was $2 per minute. Due to the high charge, he could not even talk at his home. For the first time in his life, he had seen a computer in America only. Today Pichai is the world’s most expensive CEO. According to the Annual Proxy File Report of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Sundar Pichai’s basic salary in the year 2020 was $ 2 million i.e. 15 crores. After this, when he got the charge of Alphabet, his salary was increased to $7.4 million i.e. around Rs 52 crore. Today Sundar Pichai’s net worth is around 5300 crores.
