ISRO and Microsoft agreement to boom space tech startups, know what will be the changes.

New Delhi: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Microsoft have signed an MoU to promote the development of space technology startups in India. Both the institutes aim to strengthen space tech startups across the country with technology tools and platforms. Along with this, they have to get mentorship and help them to become enterprise ready to get market support and expand.


The ISRO-Microsoft partnership further strengthens ISRO’s vision to harness the market potential of the most promising space tech innovators and entrepreneurs in India. As a result of this collaboration, space tech startups identified by ISRO will be linked to the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub platform, which supports startups at every stage of their journey from idea to unicorn.


Through the Microsoft for Startups for Founders Hub, founders of space-tech startups in India will have free access to the technology, tools and resources they need to grow and run their businesses. This includes technical support to grow and scale the business on Azure, best-in-class developer and productivity tools including GitHub Enterprise, Visual Studio Enterprise, and Microsoft 365, and access to smart analytics with Power BI and Dynamics 365.


ISRO Chairman S Somnath said that our alliance with Microsoft will benefit space tech startups in the analysis and processing of large amounts of satellite data for various applications with the help of state-of-the-art tools such as AI, machine learning and deep learning. Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub is a platform to bring together various startups and technology solutions providers with the objective of supporting the national space technology ecosystem.
