Officers removed from Twitter reached court: 3 executives including ex CEO Parag Agarwal filed a lawsuit against Twitter.
In October last year, after Elon Musk bought Twitter, the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Parag Agarwal, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ned Segal and Legal Affairs and Policy Chief Vijaya Gadde were removed from the company.
These three former executives have filed a lawsuit against the microblogging site Twitter on Monday. Through this lawsuit, the company has demanded reimbursement of the expenses of litigation, investigation and inquiries related to former jobs after being removed from the company.
Seeks damages in excess of $1 million
Parag Aggarwal, Ned Segal and Vijaya Gadde have claimed through this lawsuit that the company owes them more than $ 1 million (about 8.21 crores). This money will have to be given to Twitter because Twitter is legally bound to pay these money.
Cooperating with investigative agencies
According to the news agency, the court filing details various expenses related to investigations by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the US Department of Justice (DOJ). However, it has not been clarified whether this inquiry and investigation is still going on or has been completed.
According to court documents, Parag Agarwal and then-CFO Ned Segal testified at the US Securities and Exchange Commission last year and are continuing to engage with federal authorities.
