Country’s oldest salt making company became profitable after 65 years, revenue increased by 3 times.
Jaipur. Hindustan Salts Limited (HSL) celebrated its 65th Annual Day celebrations with enthusiasm and vigour. On this occasion, former Union Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore reached the function and honored the employees who did excellent work. Hindustan Salt Company has tripled revenue profit in the last 3 years. The loss-making company earned a revenue of 17.25 crores in the year 2022-23 under the leadership of the new Managing Director Kamlesh Kumar. Rajyavardhan Rathore has also offered to help market the salt of the Sambhar lake globally.
HSL and Sambhar Salt Limited (SSL) are two public sector undertakings of the government that produce salt. HSL has tripled its revenue in the last three years to Rs 80 crore and has reduced all its liabilities to become a profitable company. On this occasion, 12 employees of HSL were honored for their contribution in improving the companies performance. MOU was signed by HSL with two companies of India i.e. NACOF and UDAAN to promote the company’s products and establish synergy with the Govt.

Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore said on the occasion that Jaipur based industries should be used to develop talents. I also promise to help HSL in marketing the salt of Sambhar Lake. HSL CMD Commodore Kamlesh Kumar said that we operate from a small area of Kutch in Gujarat, Kharghoda, Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, Ramnagar in Uttarakhand and Sambhar Lake in Rajasthan. Our holding is more than 80,000 acres in four states. We are among the largest landholding PSUs in the country.
