Bangladesh: Gautam Adani met Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, discussed about giving electricity.

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani met Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka on Saturday. Adani’s visit to Bangladesh comes days after the group’s ultra super-critical thermal power plant at Godda in Jharkhand started supplying power to the neighboring country at full capacity, Adani Group said in a statement.

After the meeting, Adani tweeted, “Honored to meet Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the launch of 1600 MW power plant and transfer of power.” I salute the dedicated teams of India and Bangladesh who commissioned this plant in a record time of three and a half years in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Adani Power Limited (APL) started supplying power to Bangladesh from its 1,600 MW Godda power project on April 10. The company’s second 800 MW plant was commissioned in June. This is India’s first active international power project where 100 per cent of the power generated is supplied to other countries.
