Mahindra Tractor: Mahindra launches OJA tractors for agriculture, facilities like SUV will be available at low prices.

Mahindra Group has officially launched its much awaited tractor ‘Mahindra OJA’ at an event ‘Futurescape’ held in Cape Town, capital of South Africa. Mahindra Tractors is the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume.

The word OJA is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Ojas’. Which means ‘powerhouse of energy’. The OJA is Mahindra’s most ambitious global light tractor platform. It has been developed by the engineering teams of India’s Mahindra Research Valley, Research and Development Center of Mahindra AFS and Japan’s Mitsubishi Agricultural Machinery with an investment of Rs 1200 crore. The new OJA range can bring about a paradigm shift in lightweight 4WD tractor design and engineering to deliver cutting edge innovation in tractor technology.

The three OJA platforms on which Mahindra launched the new tractors in Cape Town are the subcompact, compact and small utility platforms. Mahindra launched seven new tractor models for the Indian market on the compact and small utility platform with 4WD as standard.

Mahindra OJA 27 HP tractor price is Rs. 5.64 Lakh, while OJA 40 HP tractor price is Rs. 7.35 Lakh (Ex-showroom). Starting its exciting journey in India, the OJA range will later be launched in North America, ASEAN, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, Europe and the SAARC region.

Speaking on the launch of the new OJA tractor range, Hemant Sikka, President, Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, said, “The new OJA range of light tractors is a powerhouse of energy, aimed at the progressive farmer. OJA Tractors, with innovation and technology, empowers Mahindra to address 25% of the global tractor industry, while opening up new markets such as Europe and ASEAN.
