The board of directors of IndiGo’s parent company InterGlobe Aviation Limited has approved aircraft manufacturer Airbus to order 10 additional A320-neo aircraft. According to the company’s filing, these 10 aircraft will be part of the original deal of 300 aircraft made with Airbus in 2019. These additional orders for aircraft will be placed by amending the purchase agreement.

In 2019, IndiGo placed an order for over 300 A320 NEO family aircraft from the French manufacturer. The deal was estimated to be worth $33 billion at the time. The delivery of these aircraft has been delayed due to a fault in the Pratt & Whitney (P&W) engines.
