Paytm President and COO Bhavesh Gupta resigns: Rakesh Singh appointed as CEO of Paytm Money and Varun Sridhar as CEO of Paytm Services
Paytm President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Bhavesh Gupta has resigned. The company has given this information in its stock exchange filing on Saturday. Also, One-97 Communications Limited’s wealth management platform Paytm Money has appointed Rakesh Singh as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Varun Sridhar appointed CEO of Paytm Services
Rakesh Singh has been made the CEO of Paytm Money in place of Varun Sridhar. Varun Sridhar has now been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Paytm Services Private Limited (PSPL).
Bhavesh Gupta’s resignation will be effective from May 31, 2024.
Bhavesh Gupta’s resignation will be effective from May 31, 2024. Gupta said in his resignation that he was leaving the post due to personal reasons. He also said that he will continue to provide his support to the company as an advisor in the CEO office.

Paytm’s parent company One97 Communications Limited appointed Bhavesh Gupta as President and COO in May 2023. Bhavesh Gupta joined Paytm in 2020.
Paytm Payments Bank CFO Mukund resigns
Recently, Mukund Barsgade, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Paytm Payments Bank Limited, left the company and joined fintech firm Lendingkart as CFO. Paytm Payments Bank Managing Director and CEO Surinder Chawla resigned from the company on April 8.
Surinder Chawla’s last day at Paytm Payments Bank will be June 26, 2024. Chawla has resigned due to personal reasons and to pursue better career prospects.
