Warren Buffett said- India is full of opportunities: CEO of Berkshire Hathaway said- Our company can invest in the Indian market in the future.
Billionaire-investor Warren Buffet said that the Indian market is full of many such opportunities which have not been explored till now. Buffett has also said that his group’s holding company Berkshire Hathaway would like to explore these opportunities in the future.
Buffett, co-founder, chairman and CEO of American multinational company Berkshire Hathaway, gave this statement at Berkshire’s annual meeting.
Is Berkshire thinking of investing in the Indian stock market?
In fact, in this meeting, Rajiv Aggarwal of America-based hedge fund Visionary Advisors, which invests in Indian equities, questioned 93-year-old Warren Buffet.
Rajiv said that the performance of the Indian stock market in the last 5-10 years has been very good. India is the fifth largest economy in the world which will become the third largest economy in the next few years.
My question is whether Berkshire is thinking of investing in the Indian stock market. Apart from this, what things should you keep in mind while investing in the Indian market?
Many unexplored opportunities in India, Berkshire can invest in future
Then Buffett replied, ‘This is a very good question.’ I am sure there are many unexplored opportunities in a country like India. Berkshire can invest in these in the future.
Berkshire is highly respected around the world, we are very excited by the experience in Japan
In the meeting, Buffett said that Berkshire is highly respected all over the world. He said that we are very encouraged by the experience of Japan. Last year, Berkshire had bought five trading houses in Japan. Berkshire was taking stakes in companies that were undervalued, but had cash surpluses. However, Berkshire’s major investments are in American companies only.
One surprising deal of Buffet is to take stake in China’s electric vehicle company BYD. Buffett is either buying a large stake in the companies, or he is buying the entire company. They do not depend on bankers or brokers for investments.
