This agreement has been signed during the visit of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to America. The state government has signed agreements with American companies involving investment of more than Rs 2,600 crore. Providing electronics manufacturing services and solutions, Jabil’s clients include major companies like Apple, Cisco, HP and Dell. Under this scheme, the manufacturing of the company’s smartphones can be increased in India.

Apple has started training workers in a new manufacturing process in its factories. The company started manufacturing in the country in 2017 with iPhone SE. After this, iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 were also made in the country. According to Bloomberg report, manufacturing of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be important for Apple. This will be the first time that the company will manufacture its iPhone Pro models outside China. In China, these smartphones are manufactured by Apple’s contract manufacturers Foxconn, Pegatron and Wistron. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus of the iPhone 15 series introduced last year were also manufactured in India. In recent years, Apple has increased its manufacturing outside China. The company had received strong demand for the premium models of the iPhone 15 series. Apple’s new smartphone series has new features and capture button.
