UP’s Shankha Air ready to scale the sky, gets approval from government – passengers will get option

Shankh Air: There is a good news for the passengers traveling by air in the country. Now a new airline company got approval from the Civil Aviation Ministry to operate in the country’s aviation sector. This is an important milestone for Shankha Air to start operations in India. However, the company is yet to get approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to officially launch the services.

Shankha Air will build hub in Lucknow and Noida

This airline company, originally from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, will currently build 2 hubs in the country, which will be in Noida apart from Lucknow. The company says that at present Shankha Air will start services on those domestic routes for which there is the highest demand and on which there are very few options available. “Shankha Air is directed to comply with the relevant provisions of FDI, SEBI etc. as well as other rules and regulations in this regard,” the aviation ministry’s approval letter said. It says that the NOC given for operation will be valid for a period of three years.

Indigo continues to rule the domestic industry

Let us tell you that at present Indigo has a strong hold on domestic services all over India. Indigo has more than 60 percent stake in the country’s domestic aviation industry. IndiGo’s current fleet size and its services make it the largest airline company in the country.

SpiceJet’s business is shrinking

After IndiGo, Air India is the second largest airline company in the country. Tata Group’s Air India is rapidly focusing on expanding its business. However, another Indian airline company SpiceJet is facing continuous troubles. There has been a big decline in the market share of SpiceJet. SpiceJet’s market share was 5.6% in January 2023, which fell to just 2.3% in August this year. Not only this, SpiceJet’s market share in the year 2021 was 10.5%.
