Apple will open new retail stores in India, started manufacturing of iPhone 16 series

American devices maker Apple launched the iPhone 16 series last month. This series includes iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Last year, Apple opened two retail stores in the country. The company plans to expand these stores.

According to a media report, Apple may open a second store in Mumbai. Apart from this, there are plans to open new stores in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru and Pune. Four models of the company’s iPhone 16 series are also being manufactured in the country. After the success of Apple’s Delhi and Mumbai stores, plans to open new stores have been made. About 20 percent of the company’s sales in the country come from these retail stores. iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus and Pro Max are being manufactured in the factory of Apple’s contract manufacturer Foxconn.

iPhone 16, 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro are being manufactured in the factory of Pegatron, another contract manufacturer of the company. Tata Electronics has been given the responsibility of manufacturing iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. Apart from this, Apple’s iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 13 are also being manufactured in the country. Apple is being encouraged by the Central Government to make all its products in the country. The company plans to shift some part of its manufacturing in China to other countries.

Apple plans to launch a foldable smartphone. For this the company has filed some patent applications. However, information about the launch date of this smartphone has not been received. Recently Apple has updated an old patent. This could be for a tri-fold smartphone. The patent, filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), is titled ‘Electronics Devices with Display and Touch Sensor Structures’. Earlier, touch sensor structures were shown inside the display, but Apple has expanded the scope of this patent by making many changes in it. Patently Apple has looked at this patent. In this, the outer display has been combined with a large internal display panel. It also has another display panel along with the outer display. The new structure of this smartphone is indicating a triple fold design.
