BSNL launches automated kiosk: You can buy and upgrade SIM cards, 7 new services launched; logo also changed

State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) launched 7 new services including SIM kiosks. Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia launched these services. The new logo of the telecom company has also been unveiled.

1. National Wi-Fi roaming for fiber internet customers: BSNL has launched a national Wi-Fi roaming service for its fiber internet customers. This means that users can enjoy high-speed internet on BSNL hotspots without any extra charge.

2. BSNL announces new fiber-based TV service: BSNL has announced a new fiber-based TV service that includes over 500 live channels and pay TV options. All these are available to fiber internet customers at no additional cost.

3. Kiosk for buying, upgrading SIM cards: The company wants to make the management of its SIM cards easier through automated kiosks. These kiosks will help people to easily purchase, upgrade or switch their SIM card on a 24X7 basis.

4. India’s first direct-to-device service launched: BSNL has launched India’s first direct-to-device (D2D) connectivity solution, which blends satellite and mobile networks. This service is for emergencies and remote areas.

5. Spam-blocking solution for secure network: BSNL’s spam-blocking solution automatically filters phishing attempts and malicious SMS. It aims to create a secure communication environment for telecom users.

6. Public Protection and Disaster Release Solution launched: BSNL has launched Public Protection and Disaster Release Solution. It is a secure, scalable and dedicated network for real-time disaster response, communication and public safety.

7. Launches private 5G network for mining operations: In collaboration with C-DAC, BSNL launched a private 5G network for mining operations. This network will provide high speed and low-latency connectivity in underground and large open-pit mines.

New logo launched ahead of pan India 4G service launch

BSNL launched a new logo ahead of the launch of its pan India 4G services. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia along with Union Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development Pemmasani Chandra Shekhar unveiled the new logo at an event in New Delhi. The logo reflects the mission of “Connecting India – Safe, Affordable and Reliable”.

BSNL recharge will not become expensive in the near future

BSNL Chairman and ND Robert Ravi said, ‘We can clearly say that we will not increase our tariff in the near future. We want to keep the consumer happy and win their trust. We do not see the need for tariff hike in the near future.
