Apple will hire 400 employees for new stores in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru!
American devices maker Apple plans to increase its retail stores in the country. The company’s stores opened last year in Select Citywalk in Saket, Delhi and Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai have received a good response. Apple is preparing to open new stores in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Pune.
According to a media report, Apple has listed several jobs on its website in the country. These include full-time and part-time jobs. The company is expected to hire about 400 employees. In this report, a person aware of the company’s plan has been quoted as saying, “Apple’s part-time jobs are for new graduates who want to experience work in a big company. These graduates can work in different shifts in the company’s stores.” The revenue of Apple’s stores in the country has been around Rs 800 crore in the first year of sales. In this, the share of Saket store in Delhi is 60 percent.
In the last few years, Apple has also taken steps to shift some part of its manufacturing to China. The company has partnered with contract manufacturers like Foxconn and Wistron to manufacture iPhones in India. The Pro models of Apple’s new iPhone 16 series are also being manufactured in the country.
The company is getting strong demand for the iPhone 16 series. In the first three weeks of sale of these smartphones in China, sales have increased by about 20 percent compared to the iPhone 15 series introduced last year. Last month, the company launched the iPhone 16 series. According to data provided to Bloomberg by market research firm Counterpoint, the sales of iPhone 16 series smartphones are better than the company’s previous series. However, customers are liking the Pro and Pro Max models of this series more. Sales of premium models of this series have increased by about 44 percent compared to similar models of the iPhone 15 series. However, the company is facing tough competition from Huawei in the Chinese market.
