Apple will soon open new stores in India, hiring has started

American devices maker Apple has prepared to increase the number of its stores in the country. For this, the company has started hiring. The company’s new stores will be opened in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru. About two years ago, Apple opened its first two stores in Delhi and Mumbai. These stores have received a good response.

Apple has posted for hiring more than 20 positions on the online professional platform LinkedIn. The company’s store leader, John Taaffe, has said in this post, “Apple’s journey in India has been excellent. We are excited to continue growth in these wonderful cities. To make the new stores successful, we are looking for talented individuals. If you have experience in retail or want to start a new career path, then opportunities are waiting for you. From customer service to store management, your skills can help us create amazing experiences for our community.”

The positions for which the company has sought applications include Business Pro, Business Expert, Operations Expert, Technical Specialist and Development Program Manager. Recently, Apple CEO, Tim Cook had said that the company has achieved record quarterly sales in India in the period from October to December last year. Cook had said that India is the second largest market for smartphones in the world. This is an opportunity for Apple to increase its share in this market. In January this year, Apple has achieved strong growth on a year-on-year basis in the country. Apple’s sales and manufacturing in the country have increased rapidly in the last few years.

According to a report by market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC), the shipments of smartphone companies in January were around 1.11 crore units. It has decreased by about 9.7 percent compared to the same month last year. Shipments for Apple in January have increased by about 11.7 percent on a year-on-year basis. Recently, Apple’s affordable iPhone 16e went on sale. This smartphone is powered by the company’s A18 chipset. The iPhone 16e has a 48-megapixel single rear camera. This smartphone is also being manufactured in the country.
