Google Pixel 4a Launched in India at Initial Price of Rs 29,999
Google seems to become too aggressive about the pricing of the newly released Pixel 4a as well as Nest Audio in India. Before the official launch, the search giant announces the India pricing for the Pixel 4a phone and Nest Audio smart speaker. Google has launched Pixel 4a at Rs 31,999 in the country but the phone has a special introductory price of Rs 29,999. On the other hand, Nest Audio smart speaker comes with an introductory price set at 6,999 in India. The originally the smart speaker has launched at Rs 7,999.
The global price for the Pixel 4a is set up at $349 (nearly Rs 25,673). It’s nice to see the company taking the Indian market seriously and putting the price of Pixel 4a proactively in the country. In three Pixel models which recently launched, only the Pixel 4a is made available for Indians, the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G will not be launched. The Pixel 4a phone carries only one variant 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal memory.
The new Pixel 4a and Nest Audio speaker will be available on Flipkart store as part of their Big Billion Day Sale, starting on Friday, October 16. While the Pixel 4a will remain available on Flipkart for purchase, Nest Studio smart speaker will be available at Reliance Retail and Tata Cliq’s various retail stores across the country. Nest Audio will come in two colors in India: Charcoal and Chalk.
The Google Pixel 4a comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with a 5.8-inch Full HD OLED screen. The mobile carries a standard 60Hz refresh display unlike the Pixel 5. The new Pixel 4a phone comes only in one black color option and comprises a fingerprint scanner on the rear.
On part of the processor, the Pixel 4a is backed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chip with Adreno 618 coupled with 128GB of base storage and 6GB RAM.
They camera is one of the main features of all Pixel devices and the Pixel 4a is no exception. At the rear side, it comes with a single 12.2MP primary camera while for selfies it has an 8MP shooter. The phone is powered by a 3,140mAh battery with a promising 18W fast charging support.
The best thing about Google Pixel 4a it carries features like Recorder that links Google Docs to seamlessly share and save documents and recordings (English only). The smartphone also consists of options like the Personal Safety app for instant emergency notifications. The Live Caption option is exclusive that allows real-time captioning for video and audio content (English only).
