WFH to stay preferred mode of work in 2021, Know what the top companies of the country are thinking

It has been almost 8 months since the corona epidemic spread in India and many companies are monitoring the working conditions during this corona period. There are also signs of the introduction of the coronavirus vaccine, but it is not clear how long it will be available to everyone. In such a situation, there is no other option than to increase the work from home in 2021. Some companies have also increased work from home and some are considering expanding it. Some have adopted the hybrid model of work.

These companies increased the duration of work from home

The Ernst & Young (EY) has extended the work from home till June 2021, while the Whirlpool company has extended the work from home till the end of this year. Mahindra and Mahindra will also continue work from home for about 2-3 months. Tata Power and Schneider Electric have asked a lot of their staff to work from home under the hybrid work model. That is, unless it is very important, it would be right to work from home instead of an office.

Increased work from home in view of Corona cases

Last week, Flipkart and Myntra announced to extend the work from home to May 2021. Myntra CEO Amar Nagaram has said that his company is closely monitoring the situation in Corona and the way Corona cases have increased in the last few weeks, after that it has been decided to continue work from home till 31 May. It may be that in the coming days, more companies will extend the duration of work from home.

Work is also being done on the hybrid model

EY’s offices have been open for the last 5 months, but work from home is still considered the first choice of work. Sandeep Kohli, Partner and Talent Leader of EY India, says his company is encouraging its employees to work from home and the system is trying to continue until at least June next year. The company is also using a hybrid model, under which employees can come to the office 2-3 days a week, the rest of the day they will have to work from home.
