16% increase in exports from India to China amid border dispute, 13% drop in imports

Between the coronavirus epidemic and the border dispute in the Galvan Valley of Ladakh, exports from India to China registered a 16% increase in the first 11 months of the year. However, imports from China have fallen by 13% during this period. This information has been obtained from China’s customs data.

$78 billion turnover in last 11 months

In the first 11 months of the calendar year 2020, India and China have a turnover of about $5.75 trillion rupees. In 2019, there was a turnover of about 6.84 lakh crore dollars between the two countries at 92.68 billion dollars. According to customs data, in the first 11 months of 2020, goods worth about $4.35 lakh crore have been exported from China to India for $59 billion.

$19 billion export from India to China

According to the data, during January to November 2020, goods worth about $1.40 lakh crore have been exported from India to China for $19 billion. India’s trade deficit with China during this period has been about $2.95 trillion, about $40 billion. Trade deficit stood at about $4.42 lakh crore in the same period a year ago at $60 billion.

India banned 267 apps related to China

After the border dispute in the Galvan Valley of Ladakh, the Indian government has banned 267 mobile apps related to China so far. These apps have been banned due to threats to national security. Apps that have been banned include TikTok, PUBG, UC News, UC Browser, Snack Video, and many more dating apps.
