This company became the third largest online smartphone firm, beating OnePlus and Realme
Smartphone maker POCO India has taken a quantum leap in India’s online smartphone market. The company has become the third-largest online smartphone company, beating OnePlus and Realme. According to a report, two of every top 3 smartphones sold online in November belonged to POCOs. POCO M2 and POCO C3 were the most sought after.
POCO India Country Head Anuj Sharma said that we started our work independently in February 2020 and achieved many achievements in less than a year. Within 10 months, the company has become the third-largest online smartphone company in the country. We sold over 1 million phones on the first week of the Big Billion Day Sale on Flipkart. This shows customers’ trust towards the POCO brand. The company overtook established brands such as Realme and OnePlus on the basis of models such as POCO X3, C3, M2 and M2 Pro.
How did the company grow?
Shilpi Jain said that POCO made rapid strides in the Indian smartphone market after becoming an independent brand early last year. Smartphones like POCO C3 and POCO M2 have a big hand in the company’s growth. Due to features like a large display, 5000mAh battery and gaming processor at affordable prices, both these phones were taken by the customers. The company reached number four in the online segment in the third quarter and reached number three in November.
