Wipro to buy Britain’s Capco in its biggest deal ever, for Rs 10,500 crores

Information technology company Wipro is about to buy UK company Capco. The deal will be worth $1.45 billion (Rs 10,500 crore). Capco is a global consulting company in the field of management and technology. Capco is headquartered in London. This deal of Wipro is the biggest deal ever made to buy a company. It is one of the largest acquisitions by an Indian IT company.

Wipro said in a notice to the stock market that the arrival of Capco would strengthen its position in the consulting and information technology services sector. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of June.

How old is Capco?

Capco is a 1998 company and has more than 100 customers. Some of these have been associated with it for a long time. The company has 5,000 consultants operating in 30 establishments in 16 countries. Capco earned $72 million in 2020.
