CAIT launches native e-commerce portal, to add 7 lakh business by December
In order to compete with the multinational e-commerce portals of foreign multinational companies, now the native e-commerce portal has come in the market named ‘Bharat e Market’. It was launched by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), an association of small traders. CAIT claims that Bharat e-market is completely native but in service, it will be in competition from a foreign portal.
Will give a boost to self-reliant India
CAIT General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal says that last year Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for “Vocal for Local” and “Self-reliant India” in the country. The emphasis was on the use of Indian goods and technology. CAIT plans to launch the portal “Bharat e Market” under this campaign. On this, traders will be able to open their e-shop and sell local products. On this portal, merchant-to-merchant (B2B) and merchant-to-consumer (B2C) business will be done very easily.
Will compete with foreign portals
Khandelwal says that Bharat e Market has been strengthened in such a way that it will compete with foreign portals too. He says that the way the rules and laws of the country are being violated arbitrarily by foreign e-commerce companies, the business of traders is being harmed. Now, this portal will compete strongly with those foreign portals. CAIT will never let the plans of some foreign companies to become the second edition of the East India Company succeed.
Domestic traders will be able to do onboarding
Khandelwal said that to open an e-shop on this portal, every businessman has to register himself through the mobile app. While registering, they will receive an OTP, which is required to be filled in on the app. After this, they have to complete the KYC process. After this process is complete, any person can easily create their own e-shop. The technical team of Bharat e Market will assist them in this. Business can be done on the portal after a trader’s e-shop is created. He hoped that by December this year, it will add 7 lakh businessmen.
